Donnie Daniels Montgomery County EMA Director
Donnie Daniels is a native of Waycross, GA in Ware County. He moved to Montgomery County in June of 1977 and married Debra Collins of the Higgston Community in August of 1977 and have been married for 38 years. They have two children, Desiree Miller of Ailey, Ga and Dustin Daniels of Smyrna, TN. Mr. Daniels is a resident of Montgomery County and lives in the Higgston Community. The Daniels served as pastor of First Assembly of God in Swainsboro for 8 years and was a missionary with the Assemblies of God World Missions for 22 years serving in Chile and Haiti were they gained first hand experience with response to various natural disasters including earthquakes, flooding, snow events and volcanic eruptions.
Mr. Daniels has served as the Deputy Director of EMA for the past 3 years and received his Certification as an Emergency Manager in 2014. During this time Mr. Daniels was appointed to serve as the Montgomery County Coroner. Mr. Daniels also serves as a Chaplain with the Georgia Sheriff’s Association serving Sheriff Doug Maybin of Montgomery County and Sheriff Rusty Oxford of Johnson County. Mr. Daniels is the pastor of First Assembly of God in Wrightsville, Ga.
